French Design Garden of Eden Illustration

This illustration is taken from one of the most beautiful French wallpapers published in 1861 by the Manufacture Desfossé. PARADISIO IMAGINARIUM publishes illustrations from the 18th and 19th centuries which are part of the treasures of the funds of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. These illustrations from French decorative historical heritage, we required hundreds of hours of reconstruction. Meticulous work allowed us to add our sensitivity to this magnificent decor by bringing new nuances and colors.

It is a heavenly setting whose fantasized representation of nature, with blue and green shades and lush landscape, dense forests, mountains, cascades of flowers and animals, responds to an idyllic vision of a time when botanical discoveries fueled the imagination.
